To be certified by a building materials manufacturer, a roofing contractor must pass a qualification process. These manufacturers will only put their name and reputation behind contractors who meet their exacting standards.
- Qualified
- Preferred Contractors must prove they are qualified to install the materials to the manufacturer's standards. They must be thoroughly familiar with the composition and performance of the product line. The contractor must prove its reputation with references from roofing customers.
- Stable
- Preferred Contractors must prove their financial stability. References from suppliers are required to verify the contractor's credibility in the construction community. A company's longevity is taken into account, certifying only contractors bearing a sound history.
- Secure
- Preferred Contractors must be fully licensed and bonded. They are required to be knowledgeable of and adhere to all state and local codes and regulations.
